We are the family Dukette, world travelers, and matchmakers. We have traveled to amazing places over the past few years, and always wonder what it would be like to live there permanently. Setting aside the astounding beauty and newness of each city we visit, the “foreignness” of setting up a home, learning the area, meeting people, and relocating can be daunting. So we’ve created this program to get you started on your exploration.
Scott Dukette
My time in the U.S. Navy in the 1980s ignited a love of travel – to Italy, New Zealand, Antarctica, and Korea. More recently, my wife Barbara and I have visited over 25 countries together in North and South America, Europe, Africa, and Asia.
Outside of travel, I’ve raised a family, been part owner of a successful civil engineering business, renovated homes, and generally enjoyed life. After struggling to learn Spanish for several years I may be close to achieving a “survival fluency” level!
Barbara Dukette
A former Welcome Wagon hostess, softball player and teacher, I love listening to audio books while I take care of household chores and play in the garden. I love conversations, but abhor ordinary chit chat. My sports are bike riding, kayaking, gardening and exploring gardens, geocaching and paddle boarding. As each of our children and grandchildren graduated from college or high school, Scott and I have taken them to the country of their choice. So far, Portugal, Italy, and Greece have hosted the Dukettes. Next up – Australia!

As a lifelong learner and a natural storyteller, I believe that the key to a fulfilling life lies in continually expanding our horizons. That’s why I’m dedicated to helping you shape your best life through purposeful adventure.
Outside of work, I embrace my curiosity and love for exploration. Traveling to new places, diving into captivating books, kayaking along serene waters, and breathing new life into old objects through up-cycling are some of my favorite pastimes.
